Background
David trained in mathematical biology. At the UCLA School of Medicine he earned an M.S. in Biomathematics and passed the PhD qualifying exams in applied probability, statistical modeling, differential equations, Fourier analysis, pharmacokinetics and statistical genetics. His research there built stochastic models of how E. coli switches its genes on and off, published in Biophysical Journal and Biotechnology and Bioengineering.
He then spent about 20 years in data and software. That included statistical models for finding events in time series and interactive data visualization for the New York office of McKinsey & Company. Today he manages Fit24, a gym in Dumaguete, Philippines, and builds its software.
How he edits
AI tools find the studies and draft each article. David checks every number against the paper it came from, a program checks every reference against PubMed and Crossref, and each claim is graded by the evidence in people: human or animal, how many people, randomized or not. He edits every article and answers for what it says. How the articles are made.
The site invites doctors and researchers to review articles in their own field, and credits each review on the page. Review for us.
